Reunited — and it feels so good! Zach Braff tweeted on Independence Day a sweet, bromantic shirtless shot of him and Scrubs costar Donald Faison hugging in a pool.
“Happy July 5th, totally straight pool snuggle day,” the actor, 38, captioned the endearing picture of the two friends on July 4. A glass of what appears to be rose is peched on the edge of the pool, below them picturesque Los Angeles. The close pals, grinning at the camera, are locked in a (totally platonic!) embrace.
The pair are so tight that Faison, 39, and his pregnant wife Cacee Cobb had their wedding at Braff’s home last December. And on Faison’s birthday on June 22, Braff tweeted to him, “Happy Birthday to my life-partner @donald_faison . Tomorrow I will take you to steak night, eagle you and give you a groin to groin hug.”
Braff, who has a sizeable presence on Twitter with well over one million followers, is big on social media. He used Kickstarter to raise more than $3 million for a film he will write and direct, Wish I Was Here, the follow-up to his indie hit Garden State. (His goal was to raise $2 million.) Fresh off his crowdfunding success, he recently turned to social media again to audition for a role near and dear to his heart. “Dear @channingtatum when are auditions for Magic Mike 2?” he joked, posting a shirtless selfie of himself on July 6.
