Two coworkers in Georgia were left dead after an argument turned into an apparent murder-suicide.

Investigators said that several individuals got into a verbal argument in the driveway of a home in the South River Manor subdivision in a Henry County neighborhood on Wednesday, September 9, before it took a violent turn, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Police said Kuilang Wang fatally shot his coworker Yuan Su and wounded fellow colleague Bo Li, both of whom were sitting inside of a vehicle when they were attacked. Wang, 43, then reportedly died by suicide.

Li, 47, was taken to Piedmont Henry Hospital for treatment, and his current health status is not known.

Officers reported to the scene around 10:36 a.m. and secured the area before determining there was no ongoing threat to the community.

It’s not currently clear what the coworkers were fighting about before the violent deaths.

A witness spoke to Channel 2 Action News about the incident, explaining that two people had been arguing outside of the home before the first shot was fired. A shattered vehicle window and a bullet hole in the driver’s side door were visible at the scene.

The incident has left neighbors in complete disbelief. “I was shocked once I saw the crime tape. I didn’t know what was going on,” one neighbor told the outlet.

Neighbors also shared that the homeowners were friendly and kept to themselves.

“They were very quiet,” another neighbor said. “They would wave when walking their dogs.”

Incidents like this are not common in the neighborhood, which has added another layer to the tragedy.

“Things like that just don’t happen in this neighborhood. It’s a very quiet neighborhood,” one person said.

As investigators work to determine what exactly happened, neighbors are now focused on supporting the family that lives at the home and community members who have been impacted by the killings.

“My prayer is hopefully the family will be able to get through what’s going on, and hopefully the neighborhood will all come together and support one another once they figure out what’s going on,” one neighbor said.

Neighbor Anthony Grisby said the experience should be a reminder to check in on your loved ones.

“People go through stuff no matter where you are,” he told Fox 5 Atlanta. “It should be an eye-opener — just check on your neighbors. You never know what people are going through.”

The investigation into the case remains ongoing.
