Nearly a year after a 17-year-old girl was shot in the head at a party in Texas, authorities have made two more arrests in connection with her death.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, a person called authorities in September 2025 to report that the teen, Alianna Nicole Ujueta, had been fatally shot by a suspect, who fled.

Ujueta was shot after an altercation erupted at what authorities said was a “teenage takeover” party in southwest Bexar County, KABB reported. One witness told law enforcement that multiple suspects left in a pickup truck following the shooting and reportedly drove over Alianna.

Investigators learned Deshawn Suggs, 18, shot and killed Ujueta, according to the sheriff’s office.

After warrants were issued for Suggs’ arrest in 2025, he was killed during a separate incident that’s currently under investigation, authorities said.

Now, two men who reportedly saw Suggs shoot Ujueta last year have been arrested for allegedly getting rid of the gun linked to her death, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release on Wednesday, September 9.

Angel Marchan, 19, and Michael Martinez, 23, are both charged with tampering with physical evidence.

An investigation revealed that after Suggs allegedly shot Ujueta, he gave the gun to Marchan and Martinez “in an attempt to dispose of critical evidence,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Marchan and Martinez are accused of selling the gun while “fully aware that it was a key piece of evidence in a homicide,” per the release.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether Marchan or Martinez had retained legal counsel or entered pleas.

“Outstanding work by our investigators, whose commitment and attention to detail ensured Angel Marchan and Michael Martinez were held accountable for their actions,” the sheriff’s office noted in a statement.

Alianna was at the party with her friends before the gathering turned violent, her parents, Ivan and Terri Ujueta, previously told KWES-TV.

While reacting to the news of additional arrests, Terri wrote in a Wednesday Facebook post, “It’s a difficult day but justice is coming and will be served.”

“Ali will not ever be forgotten,” Terri said.

Terri revealed in a separate post shared last month that Alianna would’ve turned 18 on August 18.

Friends and family members gathered to celebrate her birthday, according to Terri.

“She was with us for sure and I know very happy to see how much she is missed and loved,” Terri said.

“Happy 18th Birthday to ‘Our Heavenly Girl!’ Love you forever!!!!” she added.
