When the first officer arrived at the scene, they reported hearing a single gunshot and they started to set up a perimeter around the home.

More officers reported to the residence and they managed to breach the front door around 10:57 a.m. They then entered the home, where they found Williams Sr., his wife, Kelly George, and four children dead. The names of the children have not been released, but police said that they were between the ages of 3 to 9. The suspect and all of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said they believe that Williams Sr. killed his five family members before he called 911. Meanwhile, he waited until officers arrived to die by suicide.

The investigation into the case remains ongoing. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said that they had no further information to reveal about the case as of time of publication.

Williams Sr. reportedly had a long history of criminal charges in Kansas, and he was a registered sex offender in the state.

The suspect, who was also known by several aliases including Freddie Williams, Laron Williams and Jerome Williams, was convicted of attempted indecent liberties with a child in September 1998 following an incident that involved a 15-year-old girl, according to KCTV 5.
