Police interview footage featured in the documentary showed Diaz learning that Connell also lied to him about having a job during their relationship.

During Hadley and Diaz’s romance, the couple bought a condo together. Hadley covered a large portion of the home by paying the down payment, and they agreed that Diaz would help pay for the mortgage.

Following their split in August 2015, Diaz married Connell five months later in February 2016.

In May 2016, Diaz and Connell claimed they started receiving threatening messages from an online account called “Lilithistruth.” They then reported the messages to police and claimed they believed Hadley was behind them.

The following month, Connell called 911 a second time to report that a man attempted to rape her after he broke into her garage. Connell told authorities that she believed Hadley was behind the attack.
