90 Day Fiancé season 10 alum Ashley Michelle says she is filing for divorce from her husband, Manuel Velez.
Ashley announced the news via Instagram on Monday, September 7, captioning a photo of her and Manuel from their wedding day, “What a shame, tomorrow is our 4 year anniversary and I’m officially asking for a divorce.”
“I have felt unsupported by you for years, and now when I am in my most vulnerable state, you have done NOTHING [to] support me,” Ashley addressed Manuel directly, tagging his Instagram handle. “I am DONE. Do not come back to this house.”
In an update via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, September 8, the fitness coach thanked her followers for their support.
“TBH I’m just processing right now. It’s a shame that I had to put our relationship on blast to be taken seriously,” she wrote. “There’s a lot to unpack with how we got here. All I can say is, when someone shows you who they are…believe them.”
In recent weeks, Ashley has been documenting her recovery from abdominoplasty surgery, more commonly known as a tummy tuck, and a breast augmentation.
In a second Instagram Story on Tuesday, Ashley noted that she was 19 days post-surgery, adding, “I’d be lying if I said relationship stuff is not affecting healing. Again, one of the reasons why we got here.”
She continued, “Check up with Doc tomorrow. Planning on moving slow, laying low and focusing on my client work. I’m quite the resilient kitty, so I’m not here in a puddle of tears making things worse but this is why it’s so important to be aware of the company you keep.”
Ashley, from New York City, and Manuel, from Ecuador, were one of the couples featured on 90 Day Fiancé season 10, which aired from 2023 to 2024. The couple first met in 2010 when Ashley studied marine biology in Ecuador. They reconnected 10 years later, and the TLC show documented Manuel’s relocation to the U.S., where he and Ashley wed in 2022.
After appearing on the flagship show, Ashley and Manuel joined the cast of spinoff 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After for the show’s eighth season in 2024. They’ve also been featured on a handful of episodes of another spinoff, 90 Day Diaries.
Ashley last featured Manuel on her Instagram in a post in July to celebrate the 4th of July, while in May, she assured fans of the reality show that they were still together.
