It’s happening! Four years after the smash success of her album 21, Adele has officially confirmed that her next record, 25, will be released on Nov. 20.
On Thursday, Oct. 22, the Grammy winner, 27, took to Instagram to post a stunning black and white headshot with the caption "25 out November 20th." It was her first post on her newly verified account. She is also set to release her first single, "Hello," on Friday, Oct. 23.
The day before, she posted a lengthy explanation for her upcoming album on social media, calling it a “make-up record.”
“My last record was a break-up record and if I had to label this one I would call it a make-up record,” the British songstress wrote. “I’m making up with myself. Making up for lost time. Making up for everything I ever did and never did. But I haven’t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to. What’s done is done.”
Adele won six Grammys for 21 back in 2012. She also won a Grammys in 2013 for “Set Fire to the Rain” and in 2014 for “Skyfall,” the theme song to the James Bond film of the same name. “Skyfall” went on to win an Oscar for Best Original Song.
