Alix Earle Admits Her Family Would ‘Fight a Lot’ While Filming New Reality Show ‘Earle Meets World’ (Exclusive)

For sisters Alix and Ashtin Earle, filming their new Netflix reality show with their family felt “kind of like forced therapy.”

“We had to talk through a lot of issues and really work through a lot of problems that we would normally just sweep under the rug,” Ashtin, 23, exclusively told Us during a joint interview ahead of the Earle Meets World premiere on Netflix Friday, September 4. “So it was a lot of therapy.”

Alix, 25, shared that the experience of showcasing their lives on camera ultimately made her family “grow closer,” adding that they had to “address the issues” while spending so much time together.

“I think the most exciting part was just [how] we got to be together so much,” she said. “We got to travel together, and we filmed in so many fun locations.”

While Alix and her family did bond, the influencer shared that she and Ashtin would “fight a lot” while also navigating dynamics with their larger family.

“I mean, I think we worked through a lot of issues with Ashley [Dupré] as well,” Alix said of her stepmom, whom dad Thomas “TJ” Earle married in 2013 after his split from Alisa Earle. (The pair went on to welcome three children together: Izabel, Penelope and Thomas.)

She continued, “I’m scared for everyone to watch the show because when you’re filming and talking, it’s us gabbing in the bathroom together, and then I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, everyone’s gonna see this.’ So our family’s gonna need a drink when the show airs.”

From Alix’s perspective, her family’s dynamic is “so unusual in the best way.” The influencer pointed to the fact that her parents filmed together — and with their new partners — after their separation.

“We have worked a long way to get here, so I think being able to showcase that is really, really fun,” she said. “But everyone I’ve talked to in, like, the reality world has just said to lean in, just go for it, and that was something I tried to lean on when there [were] those moments where I was like, ‘I don’t know if I want to show this and, like, put this vulnerable moment in someone else’s hands.’ It was scary at times, honestly. But I think we all just really leaned in and went for it. So I’m excited and happy that we trusted the process.”

Earle Meets World premieres on Netflix Friday, September 4.
