Good thing he didn't take her advice! A few years back, Amanda Peet almost led her husband David Benioff seriously astray.

The Togetherness actress, 43, has been married to the Game of Thrones co-creator since 2006 and they share three children: Frankie, 7, Molly, 4, and Henry, 1 month. When Benioff, 44, first discussed the idea for his HBO series with his wife, however, she was hardly a fan.

"I thought it was a terrible idea," the Good Wife alum spilled to Conan O'Brien on Conan on Monday, Jan. 26. "Terrible. It's just silly. It's Dungeons and Dragons but real with real people."

Despite his wife's warning, and much to the appreciation of millions of fans, Benioff went ahead with Game of Thrones. Working with his co-creator D. B. Weiss, Benioff has led a four season adaptation of author George R. R. Martin's book series, with a fifth season set to air this coming April.

Starring Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Emilia Clarke, and Kit Harington, among others, Game of Thrones has won 14 Emmy awards and quickly became one of HBO's most popular shows.

"Now I'm obsessed," Peet acquiesced. Though she was not onboard from the beginning, Peet told O'Brien that she has become a die-hard fan, working like many others to avoid spoilers at all costs.

"Just this afternoon, I went to my husband's office to tell him, 'Can you do the school run?' or ask him something, and the storyboards were up for the next season, index cards on my left. I literally was like, 'David,'" she said as she covered her eyes to shield herself from the spoilers. "'David, can you pick up Frankie today?'"
