Girls’ night out! The 2015 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards got an extra jolt of star power on Saturday, March 28, when Angelina Jolie showed up with her daughters Shiloh and Zahara.
The Unbroken director, 39, was all smiles as she posed with her kids in the audience at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. She looked radiant in her usual black, while Shiloh, 8, sported a gray hoodie, and Zahara, 10, rocked a cute white sweater.
At one point in the night, the trio posed with fellow KCA attendee Meghan Trainor, who was nominated for Favorite New Artist and Favorite Song of the Year (for “All About That Bass”).
Jolie earned two Kids’ Choice nominations this year, for Favorite Villain and Favorite Movie Actress, both for Maleficent. (She lost the latter award to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Emma Stone.) Accepting the award for Favorite Villain, she gave her kids a big hug before heading up to the stage, where she delivered a sweet speech encouraging fans to embrace their differences.
Maleficent, of course, also featured the star’s youngest daughter, 6-year-old Vivienne, who was not in attendance at the Nick Jonas-hosted show.
Also missing? The actress’ husband, Brad Pitt, and their three other kids, Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, and Vivienne’s twin brother Knox, 6.
The appearance was Jolie’s first since her announcement on March 24 that she’d had surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes following a recent cancer scare.
“I feel feminine, and grounded in the choices I am making for myself and my family,” she wrote in a New York Times op-ed, explaining her decision. “I know my children will never have to say, ‘Mom died of ovarian cancer.'”
