Ames Brown is bouncing back just fine after getting unceremoniously dumped by Bachelorette Ashley Hebert.

On Sunday's Men Tell All pre-finale special, the 31-year-old portfolio manager admitted to Bachelorette host Chris Harrison that his July 18 elimination was a blessing in disguise.

"My experience with her, [though] it was very painful at the end, has made me a better person," Brown told Harrison. "I'm happy for her."

While many Bachelorette fans expected Brown to advance much further in the competition for Hebert's heart, Brown himself says he wouldn't have done anything differently if given a second chance.

"I took it pretty slow with Ashley because I wanted our relationship to last forever," he said. "Ashley suited me perfectly and I wasn't going to rush it. I didn't feel like we were off — everything we did felt natural and great."

"Surprised" by his sudden notoriety and fan favorite status, Brown is eager to take part in this summer's Bachelor Pad 2 in an effort to finally find love.

"Ashley said kept saying on our dates [that] I was unique and different and I thought that was a general way of saying 'this isn't working,' but I hope that whatever is 'unique and different' about me appeals to somebody," he said.
