Nick Viall just can’t get over his connection with Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe. Returning to ABC’s reality hit earlier this month — halfway through Bristowe’s search for love — Andi Dorfman‘s ex, 34, has his eye on the prize. On the Monday, June 22, episode, Bristowe takes her guys abroad to Ireland, and finds the proverbial pot of gold with main squeeze Viall.
In this sneak peek video, the couple enjoy a one-on-one date where they try their hand at Irish riverdancing. Viall, hesitant to dance, applauds his date for her encouragement. “Kaitlyn and I really complement each other well. I like to have fun, but sometimes I can get too serious, and Kaitlyn brings out that goofy side that I have,” Viall says before cutting loose with Bristowe.
There’s no denying that Viall and Bristowe’s chemistry is off the charts. After all, the pair exchanged “hot and heavy” text messages that bordered on explicit for a month before Viall returned to the Bachelorette mansion. “They started talking in January, before Chris’ [Soules] season ended,” a show insider told Us Weekly of Bristowe and Viall, who wrangled her number from a show producer. “They weren’t texting like, ‘Hey, I want to get to know you.’ It was a heavy, heavy, heavy flirtation. Kaitlyn found him incredibly charming.”
While his housemates may accuse Viall of taking advantage of Bristowe, 30, a Viall pal told Us the suitor is in it for the right reasons. Though it may seem “like he wants to remain in the limelight, he has absolutely no agenda other than to be happy,” said the pal.
Bristowe is equally smitten, and isn’t worried about what her other potential mates have to say. “She has this huge attraction to him,” the show insider said. “She’s like a moth to a flame. She was so into this guy. She doesn’t regret bringing him back at all.”
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
