Cue the slow-motion running! The first trailer for the Baywatch movie is finally here — and there are plenty of shirtless Zac Efron scenes to rewind and rewatch. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson debuted the two-minute clip via Twitter on Thursday, December 8. Watch it above!
The former WWE wrestler, 44, plays Mitch Buchanan in the Seth Gordon–directed comedy. The hunky lifeguard teams up with Matt Brody (Efron) to restore Baywatch headquarters — and to take down a shady crew along the way.
The humorous partnership turns into a bromance filled with shots, scooter rides and a bizarre conversation about their, um, privates.
“My gut says there is some bad s–t going on over there. And my balls say we need to check it out,” Mitch says in one scene.
“My balls say, ‘Let’s just take it easy right here,'” Matt replies, using a high falsetto to give voice to his nether region.
Mitch interjects: “Why do your balls sound like 3-year-old girls?”
Of course, it wouldn’t be Baywatch without a few gratuitous shots of the lifeguards running down the beach in their swimsuits. “Why does she always look like she’s running in slow motion?” Summer Quinn (Alexandra Daddario) says of a fellow lifeguard in the preview.
The movie also stars Quantico’s Priyanka Chopra, Charlotte McKinney and Baywatch vet Pamela Anderson.
“We’re the avengers of the beach but super dysfunctional,” The Rock tweeted on Thursday.
Baywatch hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
