Quick, for a dollar… who was funnier last night, Emmys host Seth Meyers or comedian Billy Eichner? Halfway through the Monday, Aug. 25 awards show, Parks and Recreation star Eichner made an appearance, airing a special Emmys edition of his popular Funny or Die show Billy on the Street, which airs on Fuse.
During the segment, Eichner and Meyers hit the streets of New York, harassing people — some clueless, some sassy, some odd — with Emmys-related questions about popular shows, snubs, and general pop culture news.
“Miss, miss, we’re taking donations for the cast of the Big Bang Theory!” Eichner exclaimed in his abrasive fashion.
“Anything you can do! They work very hard,” Meyers joked, holding out a donation can for the show that recently upped its stars’ salaries to a rumored $1 million per episode.
Once the confused tourists gave the pair some money, Eichner exclaimed, “Oh God, thank you so much, thank you, thank you, Johnny Galecki thanks you!”
Eichner also sprinkled in some comical (and untrue) comments like, “Sir, good news, Yahoo picked up Community and Hotmail just picked up 12 new episodes of Judging Amy!”
After asking several other people on the street questions, the erratic Eichner began running around screaming, “Miss, [Orphan Black’s] Tatiana Maslany was snubbed! [Mad Men’s] Elisabeth Moss was snubbed! The Good Wife was snubbed! [Peter] Dinklage versus [Mandy] Patinkin! Dinklage versus Patinkin!”

But the funniest moment arguably came when the comedy show’s host went up to a woman, declaring, “Miss, you’re a lesbian, are you watching Orange Is the New Black?”
