Jimmy Kimmel Live‘s Mean Tweets are back! And as we start a countdown to this weekend’s Grammys, it was the music community’s turn to come face-to-tweet with their critics.
Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Sam Smith, Wiz Khalifa, and Ed Sheeran were among the big names who sat down in front of the camera to read out some of the mean things that had been written about them in the Twittersphere, for a segment that aired on Monday, Feb. 2.
Reactions differed wildly. While Wiz Khalifa cracked up when he read that he looked like “a homeless woman,” Sheeran looked genuinely hurt to be told he was “still ugly.”
Girl group Haim took the news they were “ugly as f–ck” and performed “like they’re orgasming” in good spirits, while Iggy Azalea found it pretty funny that someone wanted to flick her “stupid mole” off her face, and into the bin.
This recent Mean Tweets is the second music edition to be compiled by the makers of Kimmel’s hit late-night talk show. Other stars who have faced the (sometimes painful) truth from their Twitter critics in the past include Gwyneth Paltrow, Emma Stone, and Julia Roberts.
Watch the whole segment above and see what the tweeters had to say about Ariana Grande, it’s pretty funny!
