Setting the record straight. Chris Hemsworth took to Instagram on Sunday, October 23, to respond to reports that his marriage to Elsa Pataky is on the rocks.
"Looking for a new wife according to @womansdayaus and other misleading outlets!" he captioned a photo that showed him and the Furious 7 actress on a boat, looking out to sea. "Honey you still love me right?! @elsapatakyconfidential #thanksfortheheadsup."
The Thor star, 33, was hitting back at a report in Australia's Woman's Day magazine that claimed that Hemsworth and his wife of almost six years have taken a break from their marriage and are living apart.
The blonde beauty, 40, recently flew to her native Spain with the pair's three children — India, 4, and twins Tristan and Sasha, 2 — while Hemsworth has been filming his new superhero movie on Australia's Gold Coast.
The couple married just a few months after they met in 2010 and the Ghostbusters star said in an interview in March that it "just felt right" when they tied the knot during a Christmas vacation in Indonesia with their families.
"It did happen quick and it just felt right, just, it made sense," he said during an interview on Good Morning Britain. "There was no great plan to any of it to be honest, we were on holiday and we said, 'Why don't we get married too?' and then the next minute …"
"There probably should have been some planning but it all worked out," he continued. "Honestly, we had both our families on holiday at the same time, just randomly, and we said, 'This is a good opportunity with everyone together,' so we just did it."
