Yaaas, (disco) queen! Christina Aguilera slays in the ’70s-inspired music video for her latest single, “Telepathy,” which debuted on Sunday, October 30.
In the condensed 1.5 minute clip, the pop star, 35, radiates as she writhes around in a nightclub sporting a number of colorful looks.
In one particularly sexy scene, Aguilera — who rocks a bold red lip and “Lady Marmalade”–era curls for the entire video — lays on a glittery pool table alongside a handsome man as she belts the lyrics, “I know you, yeah I know you / I got your back, I do.”
The Voice coach, clad in a skintight, shimmering black bodysuit paired with knee-high leather boots, then goes on to straddle a disco ball in several more steamy shots.
“I wanted to make a fun video for my fans since ‘Telepathy’ from The Get Down is #1 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs Chart,” the former teen idol wrote on Facebook, accompanied by a link to the video. “Thanks to all the fans, radio and DJs loving the song! XoXtina.”
The track, which features the musical talent of power producer Nile Rodgers, is featured on the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann’s Netflix series The Get Down, which was released in August. Aguilera released her last studio album, Lotus, in 2012.
Fans were recently reminded of Xtina’s early work when Kylie Jenner decided to pay tribute to the singer by re-creating her iconic look from 2002’s nearly NSFW “Dirrty” music video for Halloween.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 19, took to Instagram to share several photos and videos of herself dressed as an early-aughts version of the “Beautiful” songstress. The makeup maven donned a red-and-white string bikini top and red hot chaps. She paired the look with blue contacts, blonde-and-black hair extensions, as well as fake nose and chin piercings.
“Can I be XTINA forever,” she captioned a clip of herself shaking her hips to “Dirrty,” the first single from Aguilera’s Grammy-winning fourth studio album, Stripped.
Aguilera took notice of Jenner’s costume on Sunday and praised the E! personality for her spot-on ensemble. “YAASSSSS”…..Killin it @kyliejenner,” the All-New Mickey Mouse Club alum wrote. “Yes to dirrty 2016!! Get it girl!!!”
