Brrr! Coco Austin is trying out the hottest — and, this week, the coldest — beauty trends for Us Weekly Video in our brand-new exclusive digital series Out of This World With Coco Austin. The 37-year-old model accompanied Us to New York City’s KryoLife, where she tested out cryotherapy, a supercooling remedy (not yet approved by the FDA) believed to treat pain caused by physical injury, and have beauty and weight loss benefits.
“I am kind of worried about this. I think of bodies being put in capsules and bodies being frozen,” Coco says minutes before stepping into the cryotherapy capsule, where she will endure temperatures ranging from negative-184 to negeative-264 degrees Fahrenheit.
However, Coco is willing to give it a go if it can help her maintain her youthful appearance. “This is gonna keep me looking young? If this is gonna help my skin and help beautify me, I’ll do anything!” the TV personality says.
When the Ice Loves Coco alum — who shares daughter Chanel, 13 months, with husband Ice T — finally steps into the cryotherapy capsule, she can’t help but freak out just a bit. “Oh, my God, this is the scariest thing to look at! What am I doing?” a worried Coco tells Us. “Tell my family I love them if something happens to me.”
