Six years after filing for divorce from her husband of three years Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards is reuniting with her ex — on TV, at least.
Set to appear on Sheen's new FX series, Anger Management, Richards, 41, plays — wait for it — her ex's love interest!
"I saw a sneak peek of the first episode and it's really funny," the actress — who was handpicked by Sheen, 46, for the role — tells Extra. "I did a table read last week."
Loosely based on Jack Nicholson's 2003 film of the same name, Sheen's 10-episode small screen series will premiere this summer.
It is Sheen's first role since he was given the boot from his starring role on Two and a Half Men in March 2011.
Mom-of-three Richards says her ex appears to have put his highly-publicized erratic behavior behind him. "He's in a really good place. Everything is good," Richards explains of Sheen, from whom she divorced in 2006 after three years of marriage. "He's been very focused on our children and on his job."
