Bad boys! Diddy aka Puff Daddy aka Puffy aka Sean Combs brought it back to the 1990s on Thursday, Aug. 7, when he shared a throwback photo of himself holding a beeper while posing with none other than Notorious B.I.G.
"#TBT Ain't nobody seen this one…" Combs, now 44, captioned the never-before-seen image. "Whats that in my hand a beeper?!?! Ooohhhhh Sh!t!!!"
Puff holds his quintessential '90s pager in his hands, as he wears an all white outfit and a sparkling chain. He stands next to his Bad Boy labelmate, the late Notorious B.I.G., who wears a navy blue Kangol hat, printed short-sleeve collared shirt, and blue jeans.
Before Biggie Smalls' untimely death at the age of 24 in 1997, he released just one studio album, 1994's Ready to Die, but was already heralded as a rap legend. He was shot and killed in March 1997 while promoting his next album in Los Angeles.
Following his death, Combs worked to continue the late performer's legacy, recording the tribute "I'll Be Missing You" in 1997 with B.I.G.'s former wife Faith Evans, and using his vocals on songs in the subsequent years. Puff originally signed Biggie before he became famous in the early 1990s.
