Here we go! Ellen DeGeneres is getting ready to host the 2014 Academy Awards on March 2. The 55-year-old comedienne released a new trailer for the Oscars on Thursday, Dec. 19.
In the video, DeGeneres dances with tuxedo-clad men and women while lip-synching Fitz & The Tantrums’ “The Walker.” “Oh, here we go/ Feel it in my soul/ Really need it, need it, so go,” the Ellen DeGeneres Show host sings. “Gotta feel it, body takes control/ Really need it, need it.”
“She loves to dance and now she loves to Walk!” the indie pop band tweeted about the video. “@TheEllenShow and The #Oscars! Here We Go!”
In the trailer, directed by Bridesmaids‘ Paul Feig, DeGeneres sports her signature sneakers while parading down a street with her backup dancers. So You Think You Can Dance all-stars Stephen “tWitch” Boss and Allison Holker choreographed the moves.
“I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time,” DeGeneres, who previously hosted the awards show in 2007, said in a statement back in August. “You know what they say — the third time’s the charm.”
