But who won? Emilia Clarke and Sam Claflin had an epic prank war while filming their upcoming drama, Me Before You. The British actress opened up about their practical jokes during the movie’s NYC premiere at the AMC Lowe’s Lincoln Center on Monday, May 23.
“Sam stole all the furniture out of my room and left me with just the books,” Clarke, 29, told Us Weekly and other reporters on the red carpet.
Clarke was just as creative with her gags. “I put fish in his socks,” she recalled, “and a fart machine in his wheelchair.”
Filming wasn’t just all fun and games, though. Clarke and the Hunger Games hunk, 29, got serious for some of the more emotional scenes between their characters, Louisa Clark and William Traynor. Louisa becomes a caregiver for Will, who is a quadriplegic.

Me Before You, a film adaptation of Jojo Moyes‘ 2012 bestselling novel, is a change for Clarke. Most fans know the star for playing Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO smash Game of Thrones. Clarke often strips down for the role, but told Us that she’d rather act with her clothes on, if she has the option.
Game of Thrones has been much talked about since its sixth season return last month. Fans were particularly elated to find out that Kit Harington‘s character, Jon Snow, is very much alive.
“It was bonkers!” Clarke said, adding mischievously, “But you saw that six-pack. It’s pretty hard to say goodbye to that.”
Me Before You hits theaters on June 3.
