The Voice is back for its milestone season.
The singing competition series kicked off in the U.S. in April 2011 after being inspired by the Dutch program The Voice of Holland. As four musicians coach their team of artists throughout the season, one winner goes home with a whopping $100,000 prize and a record deal with Universal Music Group.
Season 29 saw Adam Levine’s team get a win with singer Alexia Jayy, who competed against Team Kelly Clarkson’s Mikenley Brown and Liv Ciara and Team John Legend’s Lucas West in the Top 4 finale in April.
“There is no one more deserving of this honor,” Levine said of Jayy during the finale, which marked his fourth win of the series. (Levine previously took home the title in seasons 1, 5, and 9.)
