Anthony Davis is ready to pull off the ultimate prank show with some of the biggest athletes in the world.
Us Weekly can exclusively reveal the trailer for the NBA player’s new unscripted series titled Foul Play With Anthony Davis.
“You may not know this about me, but I love pranking people,” Davis, 32, shares in the preview. “I grabbed some of the biggest athletes in the world and some of my great friends to prank other athletes. If you’re an athlete, you better watch out, because you might hear the words, ‘You just got played.’”
In the premiere episode, set to air Monday, April 6, following the NCAA Championship Game on TBS, Davis will enlist NBA legend LeBron James and agent Rich Paul to set up NBA player Draymond Green with an ultra-exclusive investment opportunity. Hidden-camera chaos unfolds when things take a shocking psychic turn.
In addition, Davis will help Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles trap WNBA star Rickea Jackson in a parking lot nightmare any Los Angeles resident would fear.
“I’m so excited for everyone to see what’s coming in this first full season,” Davis shared in a statement. “We’ve got a great group of athletes and special guests, and the pranks go even further — I can’t wait for people at home to laugh along with us.”
NFL Hall of Famer Rod Woodson, Los Angeles Rams player Puka Nacusa, USC basketball player JuJu Watkins, American Ninja Warrior host Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray and more are expected to be part of season 1.
“What Anthony and this incredible lineup of athletes and entertainers bring to Foul Play is pure entertainment,” Jason Sarlanis, president of TNT, TBS, TruTV, ID and HLN linear and streaming at Warner Bros., said in a statement. “The scale, the surprises and the sheer fun of these pranks make the series feel like an event.”
Many sports fans will know Davis as the 10-time NBA All-Star player who currently plays for the Washington Wizards.
While reality TV may be new to the athlete, Davis — who was drafted as the first overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft — previously had a small role in the 2023 film House Party.
After watching the trailer, some pop culture fans may be reminded of the MTV series Punk’d, which saw Ashton Kutcher set into motion elaborate pranks aimed at Hollywood stars.
According to TBS, future episodes of Foul Play With Anthony Davis will have Olympic ice skater Tara Lipinski becoming an unwitting target in one of Davis’ elaborate schemes.
NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III will attend a heartwarming locker room dedication that goes awry. Plus, America’s Got Talent host Howie Mandel will set up NHL defenseman Lian Bichsel for a restaurant proposal mishap with an assist from NHL forward Wyatt Johnston.
In other words, no athlete is safe from Davis’ unpredictable new show.
Foul Play With Anthony Davis premieres on TBS Monday, April 6, following the NCAA Championship Game and will simulcast across TBS, TNT and TruTV. New episodes resume airing on TBS Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
