Spoilers below! Following Sunday's shocking and gruesome episode of HBO's Game of Thrones, nicknamed "Red Wedding," many cast members have been candidly sharing their reactions.
King of the North Robb Stark (Richard Madden), his pregnant bride Talisa (Oona Chaplin) and matriarch Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), three of the hit HBO show's main characters, suffered violent, bloody deaths during the episode. Though fans may have been cringing, Lena Headey, who plays Queen Cersei, was proud of the episode.
When TMZ asked the 39-year-old actress about her reaction to criticism that the throat-cutting scene was unrealistic, Headey replied, "I think it was a beautiful episode. All good."
Actress Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, had a slightly more dramatic reaction to the episode. "They dead. Like SO dead," the 15-year-old star said in a video she posted on Vine. "Like OMG dead. My mother and brother are dead."
In a live online chat with HBO.com, Fairley talked about her own experience filming the emotionally-draining episode.
"After the week of filming that whole sequence, when we wrapped on set and said goodbye to the crew it was very emotional, but I think all of [us] felt this huge achievement and relief in a way almost," she explained. "From my point of view and Richard's there was incredible sadness because it was a combination of three years of work."
