Game of Thrones broke the Internet, once again, on Sunday, June 14, with a season finale chock-full of shocking moments and one seriously upsetting death (it totally happened, right?).
Warning: Spoilers from here on out!
The show wrapped up its fifth season in true GoT fashion — by traumatizing fans with Jon Snow's unexpected death and causing Twitter to have a total PTSD-induced meltdown.

In a scene that caused viewers to collectively clutch at their hearts in sheer horror and dismay, Jon Snow was violently stabbed to death (we think) by his brothers of the Night's Watch under a sign that read "traitor." Also, it should be noted that poor Jon was tricked into letting his guard up, which is proof positive that he does indeed know nothing.
There's no doubt that Jon Snow will be missed by fans next season, who took to Twitter to hilariously mourn his loss. Check out our favorite tweets (including one from GoT fan Mario Lopez):
Game of Thrones should win an Emmy for THE MEANEST HOUR OF TELEVISION EVER CONCEIVED. #GoT

You know it is an episode of #GameofThrones when two people jumping from the top of a wall is the most hopeful scene

I'm starting to believe the hidden purpose of #GoT is to kill all characters and then its viewers too. #GameofThronesFinale

My favorite part of #GoT last night was when nobody died. During all of the twelve seconds that that lasted. #GameofThrones

I’m so glad there’s no pizza on #GoT otherwise George RR Martin would prob kill it.

There's really no one left to kill on #GameofThrones. Next season they start killing viewers at home through the tv.

Really #GoT ?!? Wow… Uproar at Casa Lopez right now. At this point I'm rooting for The White Walkers to just kill everyone in Westeros…

My #GoT theory: everyone dies. Literally every person dies and then they wake up on the island & that's when LOST starts. #GameofThrones

Going to spend my Monday stalking HBO producers, walking behind them yelling "Shame, Shame" and ringing a bell. #GameofThronesFinale

Why doesn't George RR Martin use Twitter? Because he probably killed all 140 characters. #GameofThronesFinale
