‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Full Trailer Reveals Jon Snow Clues, ‘Terrifying’ Future

Things are getting wicked! HBO released the first full Game of Thrones season 6 trailer on Tuesday, March 8, which provides clues about the ultimate fate of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), along with the paths of other key Westeros characters.

The promo, set to a somber cover version of Chris Isaak‘s trademark 1989 single “Wicked Game,” begins with footage showing Snow’s body left for dead in the snow following a season 5 mutiny attack by his brothers of the Night’s Watch. The voice of Davos Seaworth (Liam Cunningham) proclaims him “gone.”

One scene features Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) holding a torch and saying, “We’re in the great game now, and the great game is terrifying.”

Another key moment shows Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) giving a heartfelt message to his sister/lover Cersei (Lena Headey).

“We’re the only who matter, and everything they’ve taken from us, we’re going to take back and more,” he tells Cersei, who looks better than she did during her naked walk of shame in last season’s finale.

Anticipation for new episodes of the Emmy-winning series, based on the Song of Ice and Fire books by George R. R. Martin, is seemingly higher than ever as fans continue to speculate about what role Snow will play. Harington, 29, told Time Out London this week that he will indeed appear in season 6, despite the fact that his character remains dead.

Martin announced on his blog earlier this year that the sixth book would not be completed before the start of the new season, as he still had a substantial amount of work left to do on it.
