Both Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore) and Scott Patterson (Luke Danes) have already signed on to the reboot. On the show, Christopher proposed to Lorelai when she got pregnant at 16, but she turned him down and ran away from home to raise their daughter alone in Stars Hollow.

The couple reunited in the season 2 finale at Sookie’s wedding, but Christopher left the nuptials early when he learned that his ex-girlfriend Sherry was pregnant. In the controversial final season of Gilmore Girls, Lorelai split from her then-fiancé, Luke, and rekindled her romance with Christopher. The pair spontaneously married in France and then broke up in the middle of season 7 (“You’re the man I want to want,” sob!).

In the series finale, Lorelai and Luke reunited, giving fans hope that the couple would work things out. Christopher is the first of Lorelai’s exes (unless you count the flannel-loving diner owner) to join the reboot — remember Max Medina? — but all three of Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) main men — Jared Padalecki (Dean Forester), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess Mariano) and Matt Czuchry (Logan Huntzberger) — have signed on.
