Blink and you’ll miss it! Marvel has released the first official teaser trailer for the much-anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy — and it’s only 15 seconds long!
The clip, which debuted Tuesday, Feb. 18 on Jimmy Kimmel Live, shows flashes of scenes from the James Gunn-directed film, due in theaters Aug. 1. Chris Pratt stars as American pilot Peter Quill, a.k.a. Star-Lord, who becomes the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by villainous Ronan (Lee Pace). Pratt, 34, who bulked up for the role, is briefly seen showing off his shirtless buff bod in the teaser.
Zoe Saldana is also featured in the clip wearing green body paint to play the character Gamora, an associate of Ronan. “I was just excited to be asked to join by James Gunn and to also play someone green,” Saldana joked of joining the film to MTV News back in May. “I’ve been blue before [in Avatar].”
Guardians of the Galaxy also stars Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Vin Diesel (voice of Groot) and Bradley Cooper (voice of Rocket Raccoon).
