Yellowstone’s Hassie Harrison Wants to Save Her Husband Ryan Bingham on Fox’s ‘Baywatch’ Reboot (Exclusive)

Yellowstone‘s Hassie Harrison is excited for fans to see her new role on Baywatch — and she’s already thinking of how to get husband Ryan Bingham to make a cameo.

“I would love to save a drowning Ryan Bingham,” Harrison, 36, joked during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly at the Fox Upfronts on Monday, May 11. “He’s a really good surfer and I’m like, ‘Babe, please can we make that happen?'”

Harrison’s costar Shay Mitchell, meanwhile, pitched her own dream reunion with someone from her Pretty Little Liars past, teasing to Us, “Maybe we’ll get a little cameo from Tyler Blackburn.”

Fox’s reimagined version of Baywatch leaves the door open for many iconic guest appearances — and cameos from franchise alums. The original series, which ran from 1989 to 2001, centered around the lives of lifeguards who worked on California (and Hawaii) beaches while dealing with a variety of situations including earthquakes, shark attacks and serial killers.

At one point during its run in the ’90s, Baywatch made history as the most-watched television series in the world.

The series had dozens of cast shakeups over the years but ultimately turned into a cultural phenomenon. Some of the show’s memorable cast members include Nicole Eggert, Carmen Electra, David Hasselhoff, Billy Warlock, Alexandra Paul, David Chokachi, Jeremy Jackson, Traci Bingham and Erika Eleniak.

Joining the cast of the reboot came with a lot of hard work behind the scenes — including lifeguard training.

“It’s physically one of the most demanding roles I’ve ever done,” Harrison told Us about preparing to suit up on the show. “[Then there’s] the mental aspect where I try to say nice things to myself some days but other days it’s harder.”

She continued: “But what an honor that we’ve got cast and chosen for this role. We just want to go give it our best.”

In addition to Harrison and Mitchell, Fox’s Baywatch also stars Stephen Amell, Jessica Belkin, Thaddeus LaGrone, Noah Beck, Brooks Nader and Livvy Dunne.

“I feel like Baywatch is as iconic as the Hollywood sign. You can go anywhere in the world if people know Baywatch,” Harrison noted. “So in that way, they were big shoes to fill. There’s a lot of expectation on us and I hope we meet that. I hope everybody loves what we’re doing.”

The reboot, which received a straight-to-series order, will feature 12 episodes in its debut season. It will feature Chokachi reprising his role from the original show — with Cody Madison expected to appear in Fox’s newest iteration of Baywatch as well.

“Of course we could [have them],” Amell, 45, previously told Us earlier this year. “I specifically told them not to tell me. I’ve learned that over time because I will have a lot of things flooding the zone that is my brain.”

He continued: “So in order to not be completely and totally overwhelmed, I just allow myself to be surprised with the script.”

Baywatch premieres on Fox in January 2027.
