Emotions were running high during part 2 of the Summer House reunion as Amanda Batula and West Wilson were put in the hot seat over their controversial relationship.
Host Andy Cohen addressed Amanda’s abrupt exit from the stage while filming the Tuesday, June 2, special, revealing exactly how long Amanda’s prolonged absence lasted after her dramatic walk-off.
“At least 15 minutes, but I’m going to say 20. I’m going to say 20 or more,” Andy, 58, told a listener during the Wednesday, June 3, episode of his “Radio Andy” podcast.
During part 2 of the reunion, Amanda, 34, remained backstage through an all-cast break, noting she needed to “touch up” her makeup before she returned to filming.
The on-camera drama reached a boiling point as castmates discussed Amanda and West’s romance following the former’s January split from her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke.
Amanda admitted to Ciara Miller, her former BFF and West’s ex-girlfriend, that she felt “embarrassed” that her connection with West, 31, had evolved while he was still seeing now-ex Meija Moreno.
The topic was discussed after Andy asked Amanda about West’s “inability to commit” to Ciara. “What does make you think that this situation is different?” Andy inquired.
Amanda revealed that she and West had “conversations” about that very subject, noting she felt reassured by his response.
“We’ve talked about that privately and, like, what this would look like and what this meant, which is the only reason I feel like I’m sitting here next to him right now,” she explained.
Costar Lindsay Hubbard made it clear she didn’t see West and Amanda going the distance, previously telling Amanda to her face that West will “drop” her eventually.
“I wanted to get to a point, selfishly, where maybe I felt… I understood what was going on, because I was going to have to be honest with Ciara no matter what,” Amanda said in response. “No matter what. I felt embarrassed to have to say I have feelings and have kissed West, and he’s seeing someone else. I felt embarrassed having to say that to Ciara.”
Castmate Mia Calabrese then entered the chat, doubling down, “I mean, yeah, it’s embarrassing.” Amanda fought back tears, telling Andy, “I think I need to take a break for a second.”
That moment was followed by even more drama as Lindsay, 39, asked, “Why isn’t her boyfriend going after her?”
Ciara, 30, agreed, telling West, “You should go after your girl.”
West justified his choice to stay for the time being, explaining, “I didn’t know if the questions were going to come back to me.” He later went to check on Amanda, who admitted that many of the remarks toward her “cut really deep” and were “really hard” to hear.
