Netflix’s roasts can’t help but bring the laughs — and the ratings.

Over Mother’s Day weekend, the streaming service wrapped its 2026 Netflix Is a Joke Festival by holding The Roast of Kevin Hart.

Hosted by Shane Gillis, the special event was held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and featured Sheryl Underwood, Chelsea Handler, Pete Davidson, Regina Hall and more comedians poking fun at Kevin Hart.

If that wasn’t impressive enough, John Stamos, Machine Gun Kelly, Jennifer Lopez, Tracee Ellis Ross and Jay Shetty were just some of the stars in the audience enjoying a night of comedy.

Because the show aired on Sunday, May 10, it’s too soon to gather accurate viewership data. According to roastmaster Jeff Ross, however, the night was a huge success.

“The vibe was over the moon,” Ross, 60, shared with Variety on Monday, May 11. “Kevin seemed like he was on cloud nine. His wife, Eniko, really loved being in on it, and she was a great sport as well. What a way to spend Mother’s Day.”

What Were the Biggest Moments From Tom Brady’s Roast?

When Brady, 48, was roasted by his peers in 2024, there was a common theme among comedians — the NFL player’s ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen.

“Gisele gave you an ultimatum,” Hart joked. “She said you have to retire or you’re done. But when you have a chance to go 8-9, you gotta do it.”

Kim Kardashian also made headlines when she poked fun at those dating rumors surrounding her and Brady.

“I wasn’t going to come tonight,” she said. “But since I’m not here as Tom’s date, there’s still a good chance I might.”

Brady was able to get his revenge on Hart when he presented the actor with a special gift.

“I brought you a jersey,” he shared. “It’s newborn size.”

He also poked fun at Hart’s past apology for cheating on Eniko, when she was pregnant at the time, in Las Vegas in 2017.

“All right, this won’t take long, because, as you guys know, I’m a busy man. But I do have a few words for you before I return to my affairs in Las Vegas. Oh, wait, I’m talking about affairs in Las Vegas,” Brady said. “Was that off? Not supposed to talk about affairs in Vegas? I think I broke another rule. F*** it. I talked about it.”

Elsewhere in the show, Davidson, 32, made a controversial joke about the late Charlie Kirk, which resulted in a response from “The Charlie Kirk Show” producer.
