The lights are bright on Broadway, and the 2026 Tony Awards is kicking off just in time to celebrate.
The annual awards show, hosted by the American Theatre Wing, airs live on Sunday, June 7, where rock star Pink will be on hand to celebrate the latest Broadway hits.
“It is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz,” Pink said in a press release. “Broadway has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together — it is a community that is supportive, and inclusive, and full of talent and love. These people give magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world.”
She continued at the time, “When I was asked to host the Tonys, I immediately thought, ‘I have to get permission from my daughter.’ I’ve never been on Broadway, and shouldn’t you have to have been on Broadway in order to host? That seems fair and right. But when I asked my daughter, she was really excited about being able to have a ticket to go to the Tonys, so I’m hosting the Tonys and I’m really, really excited and very nervous because that girl is a tough crowd!”

What Pink Has Teased About Her 2026 Tony Awards Debut
Pink, who has never performed on Broadway, teased on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Tuesday, June 2, that she was “terri-cited” — equal parts terrified and excited — to emcee the Tonys.
“I mean, I’ll probably fall, but that’s good,” she said. “I tell my own audience, ‘If I fall, please laugh so we can move on.’ I’m excited. It’s going to be ridiculous. My one rule was that I have to make fun of myself as soon as I hit the stage, however I hit the stage, and that’s what I’m doing.”
Pink later told CBS Mornings that the show would feature “acrobatic moments,” much like her own concerts.
