‘I Am Cait’ Recap: Caitlyn Jenner Tells Kris She Won’t Date Men Until After She Has Surgery

Keeping up with Kris Jenner! Caitlyn Jenner's ex-wife joined her in New Orleans during the Sunday, April 10, episode of I Am Cait, and it was surprisingly cathartic. The former couple politely butted heads about whether Caitlyn had been honest about her transition, plus Cait explained why she isn't interested in dating men until after getting gender confirmation surgery.

In other news, Kris and Cait ended the episode with a lip-to-lip kiss. Looks like this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!

Caitlyn and Kris Make Nice and Break Ice

Kris in the house! Or rather, on the bus. The Kardashian momager (or as Caitlyn calls her "my ex-lover") caught up with Cait's crew in New Orleans and had a fabulous time at dinner and drinks. Kris flawlessly broke the ice by bonding with Caitlyn's friends about how frustrating she is to talk politics with, saying, "You're not a politician but you think you're a politician sometimes, I think. … No one wants to sit around and listen to this s–t, so shut the f–k up and relax!"

Caitlyn and Kris had no problem joking around together, with Caitlyn admitting that she duplicated the key to Kris' closet when they were married, and Kris playfully chatting about how Caitlyn's breasts were perkier than hers. "Your boobs are a little fresher than mine," she said. "You just got a boob job. Your boobs are perky and mine aren't."

Was Caitlyn Honest with Kris About Her Gender?

While Caitlyn and Kris basically got along, they did butt heads regarding Caitlyn's inability to express her gender identity issues during their marriage. While Cait seemed to think she'd been totally honest with Kris, Caitlyn's ex-wife begged to differ.

"She didn't tell me," Kris said before accidentally switching to a male pronoun. "What happened was a conversation in a driveway. He says to me, 'Do you ever wanna have more kids?' I said, 'God, no.' He says, 'Ugh, neither do I … I couldn't have more kids if I wanted to.' I went, 'Wait, what?' He goes, 'Oh, jeez, back in the '80s I messed around with this or that and it kinda screwed up my sperm count.' It could have been steroids for all I knew. He was an athlete, he never said estrogen … there was no, 'I am transgender.'"

Caitlyn's side of the story? "I said, 'I had a condition that I've been dealing with forever,'" she explained. "I said that I was on hormones and that's the reason it might be tough to get pregnant."

Guess they'll have to agree to disagree.

Kris and Caitlyn Talk Dating and Surgery

Caitlyn's gal squad asked Kris if she and Caitlyn would still be married if Kris had known about Cait's transition 10 years ago, and the mom of six's answer was sweet and to the point: "I probably would have turned into the world's greatest best friend."

Looks like Kris is ready to follow through on that promise, because she couldn't have been friendlier while asking Caitlyn if she planned on dating men. "If I went through with, like, final surgery and all of that," Caitlyn said, before implying that she wouldn't date a man before getting gender confirmation surgery: "I wouldn't date a guy with …"

Kris seemed surprised by her ex's reveal, but reminded Caitlyn that, "You can go out for a drink — you don't have to have sex."

It's a Nice Day for a White Wedding

The issue of gender confirmation surgery is a hugely personal one, but it's a question that's brought up time and time again by people who aren't trans (in fact, Kris asked the group what they "do with the bits and pieces that are below the belt" during this episode). But Caitlyn's friends confirmed that genitals are not what make you male or female, while Caitlyn herself said she isn't ready to make the decision.

"Gender confirmation surgery is something I think anybody in my position, or the girls' position, of course you look into," Caitlyn explained to the camera. "For me, I have no idea what the future holds."

Hopefully, the future holds a proposal, because Cait seemed more than at home while trying on wedding gowns for fun with her crew. "I've been in three weddings with the most boring clothes on in life," she said. "Finally, I get to wear something comfortable."
