Get it, Adele Dazeem! Millions of eyes were on Idina Menzel on Sunday, Feb. 1, as she sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl XLIX, and the Broadway legend didn’t disappoint.
The Frozen star, 43, took a breath before heading right her powerful performance, not missing a single note or lyric. Minutes before taking the field, the single mother tweeted, “Send me good vibes! #SB49.”
Menzel was recently criticized for her New Year’s Eve performance of “Let It Go” in Time’s Square when she failed to hit all of the challenging song’s high notes.
“I am more than the notes I hit,” she Instagrammed following the online outcry, “and that’s how I try to approach my life. You can’t get it right all the time, but you can try your best. If you’ve done that, all that’s left is to accept your shortcomings and having the courage to try to overcome them.”
