MobLand is coming back to Paramount+ thanks to the massive success of its inaugural season.

The crime drama stars Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for the London crime family. Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine and Anson Boon also star as members of the notorious Harrigan brood. Filmmaker Guy Ritchie serves as an executive producer and director on the series.

Season 1 was a smash success as it ranked second in viewership on Paramount+ after its March 2025 premiere. Fans got their wish for another season as it was subsequently renewed.

When Was ‘MobLand’ Season 2 Renewed?

MobLand season 2 was announced in June 2025 following the show’s season 1 finale.

“TV was a brand-new world for me and I was reluctant to commit to a TV overall, but Chris, David, and the teams at Paramount and 101 Studios, completely changed my perspective with their bold creative vision and razor-sharp strategic insight,” MobLand writer and executive producer Jez Butterworth said in a statement at the time. “Collaborating with Chris, David, Guy and our stellar cast has been nothing short of inspiring and I’m excited to dive into the second season of MOBLAND.”

Who Is in the ‘MobLand’ Season 2 Cast?

Hardy, Brosnan, Mirren, Considine and Boon will return for season 2 alongside additional cast members. Johnny Flynn and Ophelia Lovibond will be joining the series for season 2.

Has ‘MobLand’ Season 2 Finished Filming?

MobLand wrapped production for season 2 in March 2026, per multiple outlets.

When Does ‘MobLand’ Season 2 Premiere?

A premiere date for MobLand season 2 has not been announced at this time. The series is expected to return sometime in summer 2026.

What Is Tom Hardy’s Future in ‘MobLand’ for Potential Future Seasons?

Rumors swirled that Hardy would not be returning for MobLand should the show be given a third season following rumors of off-screen clashes between the actor and producers. Puck reported that Hardy was allegedly late to set, asked to give notes on the script and attempted to change scripted dialogue.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Hardy’s status on the show is in limbo as of May 2026. MobLand has not been officially renewed for a season 3 at this time.

Neither Hardy nor Paramount have addressed the alleged behind-the-scenes issue or a potential exit. Us Weekly previously reached out to representatives for Hardy, Paramount+ and MobLand producer 101 Studios for comment but did not immediately hear back.
