Could the upcoming fifth season of MTV's Jersey Shore be Vinny Guadagnino's last?
Late Wednesday, Guadagnino — who moved into the show's Seaside Heights, N.J. house with his castmates last week after shooting wrapped in Italy — was seen taking off in a cab with suitcases in hand in the middle of the night. An odd gesture, as the cast began filming season 5 only three days prior.
Though he returned to the house after an overnight at a local hotel, a source confirms to Us Weekly that Guadagnino exited the shore house again Friday — likely for good this time.
"Seeing his family the other day made him get a little homesick," says the source, referring to the brief break Guadagnino had in between Italy and New Jersey filming. "[With] Vinny being the youngest of the bunch, it's a long time to be away from his family. He left and is home [in Staten Island]. I don't think he will be back."
When reached for comment, an MTV spokesperson played coy on Guadagnino's latest departure.
"We don't comment on series while they are in production but viewers can be assured they will have answers when Season Five premieres," says the rep.
Jersey Shore's Italy-set episodes will premiere August 4 at 10 p.m. (EST) on MTV.
