Step aside, boys! Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed during an interview on Monday, Sept. 22, with Queen Latifah that she's taking on a role in the Magic Mike sequel, Magic Mike XXL.
"You know, Channing [Tatum] and [director] Gregory [Jacobs] and Warner Bros. really took a chance," the Gotham actress said of her role. "There was a character written for a male that they wanted to turn into a female," she explained.
Although Pinkett Smith said she "can't really reveal" much about her character just yet, she did say that fans won't be seeing her strip. "[It's] not one of those [characters]! … But I'm excited about it," she told the talk show host.
The 43-year-old isn't nervous about being on set with scantily clad costars Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer and Gabriel Iglesias either.
"I'm used to being around beefcake like that because you know who I live with!" she joked of husband Will Smith. "I'm used to that kind of beefcake-ness in my environment. I can handle it!"
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Amber Heard and Andie MacDowell have also been added to the film.
