Stephen Baldwin‘s stint on Celebrity Weakest Link has him interested in Jane Lynch — and not just as a dream cohost.
“I think it’d probably be wiser for the Weakest Link producers to maybe think about bringing me in as a cohost at some point,” Baldwin, 60, who will be competing in the upcoming ’90s Night episode, exclusively told Us during a season 2 set visit. “That would probably work better.”
Lynch, 66, for her part, cosigned the idea.
“If I could have Stephen Baldwin as my cohost, I would do it. He was on the show. He was so good and so smart and so entertaining,” she told Us. “And it was so great to get to know him because I’ve never met him.”
Lynch continued: “And it was just really great to have him on the show. He got a lot of the questions right and he was just a real doll to have.”
Baldwin had a playful response when asked about watching Lynch at work.
“I [have been] married 36 years and I don’t care who Jane’s spouse is. Jane Lynch is hot,” he quipped. “She’s hot. She’s tall. She’s rich. She hosts a hot, rich, Weakest Link TV show. She’s in shape and she he doesn’t even work out. That’s how hot Jane Lynch is. So whoever that significant other is, you better stay on your toes because Jane is looking good. That’s all I’m saying.”
Lynch, who is married to Jennifer Cheyne, had a similar conversation with Baldwin, telling Us, “He said that to me and I said, ‘Are you yanking my chain?’ He thinks I’m pretty — and he looks great too. … But he’s a lovely guy. I would love to have him as my cohost.”
Celebrity Weakest Link brings together eight celebrities who will compete to win up to one million dollars for a charity of their choosing. After answering general knowledge questions, the contestants bank money as a group and, at the end of each round, vote out who they consider to be the weakest link.
At the end, there will be two people left standing as they determine who takes home the money for a good cause.
Lynch originally hosted the revival in 2020 when it debuted on NBC. The revamped show aired for three seasons before moving to Fox in 2025 while featuring celebrity contestants.
“This is one game and we get to stand at our podiums and it’s so fun,” Lynch told Us earlier this year. “And it’s all these celebrities who come in — not only game for the game — but they’re game to make it an entertaining hour of television.”
Lynch also weighed in on how well she thought she would do as a contestant, adding, “I don’t think I’d do as well as I would want to do. I think I would embarrass myself. Because sometimes I go over those questions and I don’t know any of the answers. And then I’m so impressed with the contestants.”
Looking ahead, Lynch is excited for viewers to see the people competing this year — including many of her former costars.
“My friends received no tips from me and they did very well,” she gushed. “I was proud of each and every one of them.
She concluded: “I love doing this show. This kind of checks all the boxes for me. I love to act too but there’s something about this. It’s like hosting two parties every day because we shoot two episodes a day. … It is kind of grueling, but I love it. I love to work hard. I love hitting the sack at night and falling right asleep because I have a good day of work under my belt. This just kind of does everything for me. This just makes me really happy. And the fact that we get it done in a week is kind of nice.”
