Jennifer Hudson Says Sex and the City 3 “Might Be Happening”

Get ready for more labels and more love! Fans of Sex and the City have been desperate for a third film installment of the beloved TV series, and according to Jennifer Hudson, they might be in luck.

The franchise's second film premiered in 2010 to mediocre reviews and underwhelming box office numbers. The film, which was set in Abu Dhabi instead of New York City, was also criticized by longtime fans, who felt it strayed from the show's premise. 

“I think it might be [happening],” Hudson told Dish Nation of a third SATC movie in a radio interview. “Somebody just came to me talking about that. So if it’s in the talks, it might happen. So look for it. ”

At the end of the second film, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) received a diamond ring from Mr. Big (Chris Noth) to solidify their marriage. With Samantha (Kim Cattrall) single, Charlotte (Kristin Davis) juggling two kids, and lawyer Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) without a job, there's no telling what hijinks the ladies will get into next.

The American Idol alum, 33, who appeared as Carrie Bradshaw's personal assistant in the first film in 2008, hinted that her character Louise might also return. 

"Look for Louise from St. Louis!" she teased.
