Jimmy Fallon and his house band, The Roots, made Star Wars‘ invasion of Twitter a musical affair on Thursday, December 17 — because, why not?!
And while it might not be instantly obvious that the raps provided by Star Wars fans under the hashtag #StarWarsRaps would actually sound any good when put to a beat, the results were surprisingly awesome!
Mashing up a mixture of Drake‘s “Hotline Bling,” Notorious B.I.G.‘s “Big Poppa” and Eminem’s “My Name Is,” The Roots created some (almost) unforgettable hip-hop moments.
And the Tonight Show band even showcased their impressive array of Star Wars sound effects — including Chewbacca’s growl!
