The Harry Potter author corrected a fan who thought that Rowling’s new play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, will also be a film. “You heard wrong, I’m afraid,” the best-selling scribe tweeted. “#CursedChild is a play. #FantasticBeasts will be 3 movies, though!”

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which will be released on November 18, stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander. As fans of the series know, the title is also the name of a textbook about magical creatures written by Scamander 70 years before the Boy Who Lived gets to Hogwarts.

Rowling’s new play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, is the official eighth Potter story (continuing from the previous seven best-selling books) and is set to open in London on July 30.
