If Joe Gorga were a betting man, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star predicts all eyes will be on him as he competes (sometimes shirtless) on The Mob.
“That’s the standard. You know, I got to keep it up for my wife,” Joe, 52, exclusively told Us when discussing his physique for Melissa Gorga. “She likes it. You know, I got to keep her on her toes, you know? I like to stay in shape.”
Looking and feeling his best may have some benefits.
While sitting down with Us to discuss The Mob, Joe was asked to play a game of Don or Whack, where he chose which reality TV stars he would promote to a leadership position — and which he would kill off — if they were on the Hulu show.
When Melissa’s name came up, the New Jersey Italian made Us blush with his spicy answer.
“Oh, definitely a Don,” he said. “You know why? You know why I said Don? Because we had sex this morning. Because if she didn’t give me sex, then I’d be like, ‘Whack her.’”
Joe and Melissa, 47, have been married since August 2004 and share three children. Their love story has been documented on RHONJ, which is expected to return to Bravo for season 15 in December.
In past seasons, Joe has hilariously nicknamed his penis Tarzan, which needs to release some “poison” during sexy time.
Joe’s big personality was put on display as he competed on The Mob. Hosted by Parker Posey, the show is a high-stakes reality competition series that sends a group of celebrities to a lavish Italian villa where they will shake down, hustle and whack their way to win up to $250,000 in cash prizes.
Joe filmed with everyone from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives alum Demi Engemann and Selling Sunset’s Chelsea Lazkani to Netflix heartthrob Harry Jowsey and Dancing With the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli.
“I fell in love with everybody. I really did,” Joe revealed. “Everybody’s so great. Harry was my No. 1 guy. He’s so tall and good-looking. He’s got this hair. … I had my eye on him. I said, ‘Who is this son of a bitch coming over here with all this hair and he’s 6-foot-9 trying to make me look bad?’”
When asked whether he knew any of his costars’ shows, Joe joked that he doesn’t have time to watch TV when Melissa is his wife.
“I’m just a worker. I get up in the morning,” the real estate developer shared. “Then I got to come home and I listen to a crazy wife that has chores for me. ‘Do this. Do that. I want to do this. Take me out to dinner.’ And I have kids. So, I have no life but work and kids and life. And I got to take care of my wife. That’s why she’s so happy. You know what I mean?”
The Mob premieres on Hulu Monday, October 26.
