A long way from Don Draper! Jon Hamm looks nothing like his famous Mad Men alter ego these days. The actor, 44, sported a bruised nose and a disheveled look — all to get into character for his new film Baby Driver, which filmed in Atlanta on Wednesday, February 24.

The hunk was photographed dressed in character while speaking with some of the film’s crew members. He wore a leather jacket, green top and khaki pants. He rocked a neck tattoo, some scruff and even (gasp!) had a little bald spot.

The Emmy winner plays Buddy in the Edgar Wright-directed film, which centers on a getaway driver who finds himself in trouble with his crime boss.

The comedy also stars Lily James, Jon Bernthal, Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx, Ansel Elgort and Liam Hemsworth’s former fling, Eiza González. It’s set to hit theaters next year.

Hamm — who split from longtime girlfriend Jennifer Westfeldt last year after 18 years together — has been busy since Mad Men wrapped its final seventh season. This year, he’s set to promote three new movies: Marjorie Prime, Aardvark and Keeping Up with the Joneses.

Back in September, he also took home an Emmy for his work in the beloved AMC series. “The win was very unexpected!” he told Us Weekly at the time. “I have no idea where I’m going to put the Emmy, but I’m very excited about it.”

Mad Men creator, Matthew Weiner, chimed in: “He deserved it. He should have won every year.” Hamm was previously nominated and lost seven times in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category.
