JonBenet Ramsey’s Dad Spies on Son Burke After the Tragedy in Sneak Peek at ‘Who Killed JonBenet?’

Another look at the infamous murder. Following a rash of TV projects this year focused on the still-unsolved December 1996 death of JonBenét Ramsey, Lifetime's Who Killed JonBenét? airs Saturday, November 5, and Us Weekly's exclusive sneak peek shows her father, John Ramsey (played by Michel Gill), trying to mitigate his public image after the tragedy.

The preview clip shows John speaking to longtime friend Fleet White, who encourages John to reach out to authorities and clear his name. "Hiding behind lawyers, P.I.s and crisis management firms is not the answer, John," White says. "You look like O.J. in the Bronco."

John replies about himself and then-wife Patsy (Julia Campbell), "We're not confident in how the police are handling this, and we're going to put up a $50,000 reward for info."

White doesn't like the sound of this and implores his friend, "What you do in the next 24 hours is going to define the rest of your life. You need to come back to Boulder and talk to the police. Patsy needs to talk to them. We do — we all do — to find out what happened to JonBenét."

The clip shows John staring out the window and conspicuously watching his son, Burke, who was 9 years old when his sister, the 6-year-old pageant queen, was found dead in their family's Boulder, Colorado, home. Burke was exonerated by DNA evidence in 1999, and JonBenét's parents, John and late ex-wife Patsy, were removed from the suspect list in 2008.

The real-life Burke has been back in headlines recently, having filed a $150 million defamation lawsuit last month against forensic pathologist Werner Spitz for claiming in the CBS docuseries The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey that Burke killed his sister.

Watch the tense clip above. Who Killed JonBenét? airs on Lifetime Saturday, November 5, at 8 p.m. ET.
