West, 39, kicked off his bombshell week with a political announcement at his San Jose, California, concert on Thursday, November 17. In between performing his biggest hits, the MC revealed that he didn’t vote in the 2016 presidential election — and if he had, he would have voted for Donald Trump.

“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? What I didn’t tell you … if I were to have voted, I would have voted on Trump,” the “Waves” rapper told the audience, many of whom booed at the statement.

Two days later, West took a swing at his once-close pals Beyoncé and Jay Z, among others, during a concert at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center. After taking the stage 90 minutes late, West launched into a 15-minute rant before dropping his microphone and canceling the show only four songs in.

“I am putting my career, my life, my public standing at risk when I talk to y’all like this,” he shouted on Saturday, November 19. “This is a moment in the matrix, bro. … Beyoncé, I was hurt because I hear that you said you wouldn’t perform [at the 2016 MTV VMAs] unless you won Video of the Year over me and over [Drake’s] ‘Hotline Bling.’ … Sometimes we be playing the politics too much and forget who we are just to win.”

The “Fade” entertainer then called out Jay Z, saying, “Call me, bruh. You still ain’t called me. Jay Z, I know you got killers. Please don’t send them at my head.”

The lengthy rant almost immediately generated headlines, but West appeared to be unbothered. On Sunday, November 20, he resurfaced on Instagram, posting 99 blurry and captionless photos of fashion models on his account. Later that day, he canceled his concert at Los Angeles’ the Forum — itself a makeup date for a previously canceled show — hours before it was scheduled to begin.

The icing on the cake came early Monday, November 21, when West’s rep confirmed to Us Weekly that the remaining 21 dates of his Saint Pablo tour were canceled. “He’s just exhausted,” a source close to the rapper told Us. “He doesn’t want to give his fans anything less than the best.”
