Katy Perry is Queen of the Jungle! After getting stranded on an island and witnessing her man getting eaten by a tiger, the 28-year-old singer fearlessly fights for survival (while looking sexy and beautiful) in her new music video for “Roar.”
After surviving a plane crash, Perry quickly adjusts to island life. First order of business? She takes care of herself by making a spear out of her stiletto heel, fighting an alligator and taming a tiger. Perry then creates a sexy ensemble for herself of a cleavage-baring, animal-print bra top, grass skirt and flower headdress.
The popstar then makes the jungle her playground. She takes a shower with the help of an elephant, snaps selfies with a monkey and uses fruit as lipstick and has fun swinging from a vine like Tarzan.
“Roar” is the lead single from Perry’s fourth studio album, Prism. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest in August, Perry, who divorced Russell Brand in July 2012, said “Roar” is “a song about speaking up for yourself because there was a time in my life I didn’t stand for anything, so I fell for everything . . . Sometimes you can feel burdened by people or a thing or a relationship and it causes you to go inside yourself versus say[ing] ‘Hey! No, this isn’t okay.'”
