Another dig? Kelly Ripa might still be reeling over Michael Strahan’s Live with Kelly and Michael exit. The TV personality joked about people walking all over her during her daytime talk show, now called Live with Kelly, on Tuesday, June 7.
Ripa, 45, made the comment while discussing her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony with guest host Joel McHale. (Ripa celebrated her star in October.)
“Is it weird to think people are walking on top of you right now?” McHale, 44, asked.
Ripa quipped, “No, I’ve gotten used to that.”
As previously reported, Ripa was blindsided when ABC announced in April that Strahan would be leaving Live for a full-time gig at Good Morning America. She took a sick day following the news, and gave a passionate monologue about “respect in the workplace” when she returned.
Ripa has been candid before. Ahead of Strahan’s Live departure on May 13, she awkwardly brought up his two divorces live on air, joked about contract negotiations and wore a jacket that read “Freedom” on the back.
