Technical foul! On Kocktails With Khloe‘s Wednesday, March 2, episode, Khloe Kardashian reveals why she recently split from NBA star James Harden.
In the FYI series’ clip, guest Lisa Rinna asks the host, 31, why things didn’t work out for the couple, who were first spotted together in July. Us Weekly exclusively broke the news earlier this month that the pair had parted ways.
“I just don’t want to put up with people that, you want to be monogamous, but then you’re not monogamous,” Kardashian explains.
The Strong Looks Better Naked author admits that she actually told the Rockets star that they could hang out without having to be exclusive, but Harden, 26, said he didn’t want them to see other people.
“I’ve always said, ‘We don’t need to be monogamous,'” Kardashian explains. “‘There’s a lot of s–t going on in both of our lives. You live in Houston, I live in L.A. Let’s just see each other when we see each other.’ Why wouldn’t you say, ‘OK, that’s great’?”
She adds that she was willing to commit to him but “wanted to be realistic” instead of “forcing a relationship.” (The reality star had extra drama in her life when estranged husband Lamar Odom was hospitalized in October following his overdose.)
“He sought me out, wanted to be committed, then wasn’t committed,” she continues. “[I] found out he wasn’t, and I got the receipts to prove it.”
