Kim Kardashian won't make it to NBC's Red Nose Day fundraising telethon on May 21, but she's supporting the charity drive anyway! In Us Weekly's exclusive photo, which debuted in the most recent issue of the magazine, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star dons a red clown nose to help promote the network's upcoming event.
The celeb-studded celebration, airing live from 8 to 11 p.m. on May 21, is the first U.S. iteration of a popular annual UK event that has raised more than $1 billion over the past 30 years.
NBC's special will include celebs like Will Ferrell, Emily Blunt, Gwyneth Paltrow, Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, The Voice coaches, and many more as they participate in comedy skits, Funny or Die videos, musical performances, and even a 24-hour danceathon hosted by Nick Cannon.
All the money raised will go to 12 different charities that support children living in poverty around the world, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America; charity: water; Children's Health Fund; Feeding America; Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance; the Global Fund; Lift; National Council of La Raza; National Urban League; Oxfam America; Save the Children; and United Way.
"Red Nose Day is almost like a national holiday in the UK. It's a day of real excitement as everyone looks forward to it and the entire country gets involved in some way," supporter Sienna Miller previously told Us Weekly in a statement. "I'm thrilled it’s coming to the U.S.!"
